Cheers S Recently met a girl through my job (she is a student nurse) She's great and we get on really well. Alot of my mates think that the age gap is too big? Cheers S Not at all Im 17 my boyfriend is 22 at first he was abit wary of what people would think but at the end of the day, its your happiness don't let others stop you from having that. If you think she's mature etc go for it - don't just judge her on her age or what your friends think. It ended very badly - it turned out he had a FIANCEE and hadn't told me. As long as your intentions are honorable then theres nothing wrong with the age gap at all.
But if in regards to the actual birthdays, in my case my birthday being january 16, 1989, and her birthday is october 17th, 1993, our age difference with regards to our birthdays would be in the legal limit by a margin of 2 months. Our birthdays, on a day-for-day, month-for-month basis, are 4 years and 10 months apart.
- Legal under the 5 year rule Our ages 17 and 22 are 5 years apart.
From a sexual attraction standpoint, I challenge you to stand me shirtless next to Sophia Loren in Look, Steely Dan probably couldn’t talk at all to "Hey Nineteen" because they admittedly had "nothing in common." Not because she was too young to name an Aretha Franklin song (which, like, come ON, Steely Dan); the idea that people are what pop culture references they know reduces falling in love to trading trivia. A lot of women have told me they won’t date younger men because of maturity issues, and that’s probably where the idea of a prohibitive "age gap" comes into play for a lot of people.
Who knew this bar would have a dollar’s worth of O-Town songs? But the only thing is, which I don't know how the law is there, but here you have to watch out.If you are older than 18 and you date younger than 18 that can wind you up in jail. Sometimes you have to imagine it out of the artificially extended dependency periods you find in the west and imaging yourselves double the age.I suppose the only reason you're concerned is because a lot changes in the four years from 17 to 21, but as you say she is a student nurse so she's not a little girl. And it's not like your a scary old man either, 21 isn't far away from a 17 year old.
